Drawing & building information management

Every drawing. Every building. One source of truth.

HDC FM brings your CAD files, BIM models and scanned drawings into one secure archive, and turns them into interactive, colour-coded floor plans your whole organisation can use, at the desk and on site.

The challenge

Building information shouldn’t live in ten different places

Most property organisations already have the data. The problem is that nobody can find it, trust it or use it when it matters.

  1. 01

    Drawings scattered everywhere

Files spread across network drives, consultants’ inboxes and paper archives, in a dozen formats and versions.

  2. 02

    Floor plans without data

A scanned PDF can’t tell you who rents a space, how big it is, or when it was last changed.

  3. 03

No single version of the truth

Without strict version control it’s hard to know which drawing is current, or who changed what.

  4. 04

    Information stuck at the desk

Field staff walk the building with printouts while the real information stays in the office.

HDC FM solves all four in one platform.

What you can do

Built for everyday property management

Every format, one archive

BIM, CAD, scanned drawings, spreadsheets and maps, managed the same way and searchable in one place.

HDC FM desktop interface with navigation tree, document list, floor plan and room properties

Interactive floor plans

Even old scanned drawings become interactive: spaces have data, colour codes and labels attached that update in real time.

Your portfolio at a glance

Visual filters colour spaces by area, tenant or function, or by live data from your FM system and IoT sensors.

Measure and mark up

Measure distances, areas and angles, and add redline notes everyone can see, without touching the original.

Strict version control

A read-only master archive, safe drafts, a publishing step and a complete record of who changed what, and when.

Security and access control

Enterprise-grade sign-in, included in every subscription. Single sign-on, multi-factor login and fine-grained permissions, connected to the identity system you already use.

HDC.cloud

Zero servers to manage. Ever.

Run HDC FM as a fully managed service from twin data centres in Stockholm, powered by renewable energy. We handle hosting, backups, upgrades and support. You get on with managing buildings. Prefer to run it in-house? HDC FM is also available on-premises.

  • Twin data centres

Your data lives in two separate data centres in Stockholm, not in a single room.

  • Daily encrypted backups

Each site is backed up locally, and every backup is copied to the other site.

  • Swedish Protection Class 3

Physical security rated Säkerhetsklass 3: access control, surveillance and perimeter protection.

FAQ

Questions property managers ask us

Most of our drawings are old scans or paper. Is HDC FM still useful?

Yes. Old scans are a common starting point. Scanned drawings get an interactive overlay, so a decades-old floor plan can hold the same space data, colour codes and links as a modern BIM model. You don’t need to redraw anything to get started.

Do our users need to install anything?

No. HDC FM runs in a standard web browser with a responsive, desktop-like interface. For on-site work there is HDC FM Mobile for smartphones and tablets.

Can it connect to our existing FM or property system?

Yes. HDC FM can show live data from external FM systems and IoT sensors directly on your drawings, and supports structured data exchange with schema translation and layer mapping. Through our partnership with Service Works Global it also works together with their FM software.

We have our own way of structuring buildings and documents. Will it fit?

HDC FM is configured through a graphical interface. Document types, object types, attributes and navigation can be adapted without programming, and changed later without losing data.

How do we stop people from overwriting the wrong drawing?

The master archive is read-only. Changes are made in drafts and then published, with strict or relaxed versioning depending on your needs. Every change is recorded, so you always know who did what and when.

Do we have to host it ourselves?

No, but you can. Most customers use HDC.cloud, where we run everything for you from secure data centres in Stockholm with a 99.8% availability SLA. For organisations with specific security requirements, or that simply prefer to manage the system themselves, HDC FM is also available as an on-premises installation.
