QuestionWhy it comes that in application the printout format is limited to A3 size although a plotter is A1 or bigger?
Answer
Problem description:
Some Windows drivers (e.g. Windows NT 4.0 HPGL/2 driver)
define paper sizes for rolls or manual sheets up to A0, but in user
programs only smaller paper forms are shown (up to A3). TSL applications,
including CADRaster LTX and PRO, use Windows System Printer, so it may
appear that their printing under Windows NT is limited to A3 size.
Solution:
Because most of desktop programs use papers for
simple document printing some Windows drivers incorrectly assume that
only "office paper sheet" formats must be made available
to applications. In order to allow selection of larger formats you
must add specific paper forms to a plotter driver list.
1. Open Printers Settings folder (START, Settings, Printers)
2. Click once on device driver you want to extend the forms list for 3. From menu File choose Server Properties option 4. Switch to Form tab 5. Create a New Form 6. Give a name and size 7. Save Form After that operations you can select the new format using common printer definition dialog or Page Settings function in your application.
Note: If you use a server plotter you will have to possess sufficient rights to access Server Properties function.
